We caught up with Sadie Goodwin from Absolute Web to find out what makes them successful, what makes product discovery important to their clients, and some of the biggest trends they currently are seeing happen within e-commerce.
Tell us about Absolute Web:
Absolute Web is a full service eCommerce agency based out of Miami, who specializes in custom development of eCommerce solutions. We’re passionate about helping our clients, and work closely to solve even the most complex dilemmas and set them up for success. We work with brands from all industries on Magento, Shopify, and BigCommerce platforms to help scale their business and increase conversions. We also have a full service marketing team that has expertise in a variety of areas, from paid media to design and creative.
What sets you apart from other digital agencies? What would you say are your areas of expertise? Focus on any particular verticals?
At Absolute Web, we have a people-first mindset. Our team often says “Let’s Make it Happen” because that’s how we approach each new challenge and opportunity. We work as an extension of our clients’ team throughout each phase of the project to ensure success. Our team is structured to have dedicated experts in each department, but also works collaboratively to solve problems together.
Our main area of expertise is Web Development, whether it’s through an existing eCommerce platform or a custom build. We focus on creating a memorable user experience, and integrate partner services such as Klevu, Rebuy, Tapcart, and Klaviyo to help set our clients up for long-term success. We’ve worked with clients across a range of verticals from health and wellness to beauty and lifestyle products.
Why do you think product discovery is important to your client base?
The product discovery phase is a key part of every project that helps us better understand our client’s customer base, so we can create the most effective strategy. Through extensive market research, we learn about their customer’s behaviors, pain points, and the overall demand of the product. Understanding our client’s competitive advantage helps us create unique marketing strategies that meet the customer where they’re at, and showcase our client’s product as the solution they’ve been looking for.
When our clients are launching new products, we want to help them make informed decisions based on a thorough understanding of the market, customer preferences, and industry trends. We work to identify features and functionalities that consumers value the most, so our clients can focus on creating products that are aligned with customer expectations. Incorporating real time feedback and changing market dynamics ultimately leads to more successful product launches and long-term success.
Why did you choose to implement Klevu?
Our client, Ironwear, came to us to help them improve the search functionalities on their Magento site. We implemented Klevu to help with better search suggestions, cross selling in shopping carts, displaying related products on PDP’s, and improved category merchandising for a company with a wide variety of SKUs. Since Ironwear is a B2B company, one of the most impressive features of Klevu was being able to implement custom pricing. When a customer signs into their Ironwear account, they are able to see personalized prices for each product that reflect any bulk discounts or partnership rates they may have. Klevu’s AI-empowered search features have been instrumental in improving the CX on Ironwear’s website.
What are some of the biggest changes/trends that you currently see happening within e-commerce?
Some exciting trends we’ve noticed over the past few months are brands pivoting more towards social commerce. With new integrations like TikTok shopping, it’s become easier than ever for customers to see an ad and shop for relevant products, without even switching apps. We’ve also seen a huge increase in subscription-based shopping models to help increase AOV and customer retention. This model fits more seamlessly into consumers’ busy lifestyles, since they can have products arrive right to their doorstep without having to manually reorder them.
Of course, AI has made it easier than ever to create personalized shopping experiences, with unique product recommendations, and tailored promotions. We’ve noticed a huge increase in visual search features, as well as Augmented Reality technology that allows customers to visualize products in real-world settings before making a purchase. The more ways brands can use AI to help customers make informed decisions, the more successful they will be.
